Norman Barry Neskar (w∴m∴ 2005-2006)

Norman Barry Neskar was born on February 14, 1959 in Houston, Texas. He was educated in the public school system. He graduated from Sharpstown High School in 1977. He continued his education at the University of Texas graduating in 1982 with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree. Except for a brief foray into the insurance business, he has spent his entire career in the banking industry. He currently works for Westbound Bank, in Katy Texas, as the Vice President of Credit Administration.

In 1987 he married Nancy Starbuck and now has a daughter in college and a son in 8th grade.

Brother Neskar received his degrees in Freemasonry from Jacques DeMolay Lodge #1390 in Houston Texas. He was initiated as an Entered Apprentice Mason on April 6, 2000; passed to the degree of Fellowcraft on July 27, 2000; and raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on August 24, 2000. In the Masonic year of 2005-2006 he was honored to serve as Jacque DeMolay’s forty-sixth Worshipful Master. He currently serves the lodge as Treasurer. The year he was Worshipful Master he was honored to have his father-in-law, Robert P. Starbuck, serve as his Chaplain, and the current Worshipful Master of Jacque DeMolay Lodge, Tony “the Tiler” Bass, serve as his Tiler.

During his year as Worshipful Master the lodge raised 30 Master Masons and honored 3 Brothers for their 50 years of Masonic service. The District Deputy was Tom Stanton and The Grand Master was Brian Dodson. The lodge was fortunate to have Grand Master Dodson in attendance at its annual Table Lodge; as well as the 50 year presentation to Past Grand Master Buddy Baccus. In addition the lodge enjoyed a golf outing, a fishing outing; and the usual golf and poker at a well attended Annual Communication in Waco.

After college, Brother Neskar was fortunate to have backpacked around Europe, Greece and Israel. His current passion is the, seemingly elusive, quest for physical and spiritual self improvement.
