Ted E. Dennison (w∴m∴ 2001-2002)
Ted E. Dennison was born on October 16, 1959 in Houston, Texas. He was educated in the public school system of the city, graduating from Sharpstown High School in 1978. He continued his education at the University of Houston, where he graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Geophysics, with a minor in Philosophy.
He is married, and has one son.
He is the “T” of TMJ ENTERPRISES – A Promotional Products Company. He is an active member of the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Houston Promotional Product Association. He is also on the National Board of Director for PPAI Regional Association Council.
As a young man, Brother Dennison was a member of the Order of DeMolay, having received the degrees in 1975 from Robert E. Lee Chapter. For his devoted service to the Order of DeMolay, he was invested with the degree of Chevalier in 1979, and as a member of the Legion of Honor in 1989.
Brother Dennison received the degrees in Freemasonry from Jacques DeMolay Lodge No. 1390. He was initiated as an Entered Apprentice Mason on January 15, 1981; passed to the degree of Fellowcraft on February 19, 1981; and raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on March 20, 1981. He served as Worshipful Master for the 2001-2002 masonic year. From 2001-2003, he served as Secretary of the Masters, Wardens, and Secretaries’ Association for the Thirtieth Masonic District.
Brother Dennison is a member of both the Shrine and the Grotto.
Brother Dennison is a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, having received the degrees from the Houston bodies in September 1981. He is a member of of the Eighteenth and Twenty-first degree teams, as well as the Sound and the Lighting committees. He also serves on the Scottish Rite Speakers’ Bureau. He served as the Venerable Master of San Jacinto Lodge of Perfection in 2005. For his service and devotion to the Rite, he was invested with the rank and decoration of a Knight Commander of the Court of Honour in 1989, and was coroneted an Inspector General Honorary of the Thirty-third Degree in 2003.
