Jack Burns Pace (w∴m∴ 2000-2001)
Jack Burns Pace was born on October 6, 1965 in Pasadena, Texas. He was educated in the public school system of the city, graduating from Pasadena High School in 1984. After attending Sam Houston State University for a year, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served three years with Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron Two out of Rota, Spain, as Aircrew with additional training as an Electronics Warfare Operator. After discharge, he returned to college, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from the University of Houston – Clear Lake in 2002. He is employed by the University of Texas Medical Branch as a counselor with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
He is married, and has two children.
As a young man, Brother Pace was a member of the Order of DeMolay, having received the degrees from Pasadena Chapter in 1980. He served as Master Councilor of that Chapter in the fall of 1982. In 1983, he was elected Deputy Area Master Councilor for the Gulf Coast Region, and was elected Area Master Councilor the following year. He is a former member of the Advisory Council of Pasadena Chapter. Because of his devoted service to the Order of DeMolay, he was invested with the Degree of Chevalier in 1984.
Brother Pace received the degrees of Freemasonry from Jacques DeMolay Lodge No. 1390 in Houston, Texas. He was initiated as an Entered Apprentice Mason on December 21, 1992; passed to the degree of Fellowcraft on April 6, 1995; and raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on June 15, 1995. He served as Worshipful Master of the Lodge for the 2000-2001 masonic year. He is a plural member of Palestine Lodge No. 31.
Brother Pace is a member of the Shrine.
Brother Pace a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, having received the degrees from the Houston bodies in July 1996. He is also a member of the Knights of Saint Andrew.
Brother Pace currently resides in Beeville, Texas.
