JACK R. WISE (w∴m∴ 1995-1996)
Jack Randall Wise was born on September 4, 1942 in New Albany, Indiana. He graduated from North Side High School, Fort Wayne, Indiana, in 1960. After graduation, he became a member of the United States Army and served for four years, being discharged in 1964 with the rank of Specialist E-4. He has attended both Purdue University and the University of Houston. He is the owner and president of Premier Quality Computer Services, Inc. and Bristol Information Systems – Southwest, Inc.
He is married.
Brother Wise was not a member of the Order of DeMolay, but because of the service he has rendered on behalf of that organization, he was invested as an Honorary Member of the Legion of Honor in 1995. He also holds the Rainbow Grand Cross of Honor
Brother Wise received the degrees in Freemasonry from Leesburg Lodge No. 58, Leesburg, Florida. He was initiated as an Entered Apprentice Mason on April 16, 1968; passed to the degree of Fellowcraft on May 21, 1968; and raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on June 18, 1968. Upon moving to Houston, he affiliated first with Bellaire Lodge No. 1336, and then with Jacques DeMolay Lodge No. 1390. He served as this Lodge’s thirty-sixth Worshipful Master for the 1995-1996 Masonic year. For his many and continuing services to the lodge, he was awarded the Golden Trowel and a Life Membership in 1991.
Brother Wise is a member of the Chapter, Council and Commandery of the York Rite.
Brother Wise is a member of Bellaire Chapter No. 1021, Order of the Eastern Star, and served as Worthy Patron for that body from 1974-1975.
Brother Wise is a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, having received the degrees from the Houston bodies in March 1969. He is or has been a member of the Twelfth, Twenty-first, and Twenty-fourth Degree teams, and the degree master of the Twenty-first 1985-1997. He was either a member or chairman of the Class Directors Committee from 1969-1993, and from 1993-1997 was the Reunion Director for the Houston Scottish Rite Bodies. For his service and devotion to the Rite, he was invested with the rank and decoration of a Knight Commander of the Court of Honour in 1977, and coroneted an Inspector General Honorary of the Thirty-third Degree in 1993.
