D. KENT UNDERWOOD (w∴m∴ 1991-1992)
Donald Kent Underwood was born on March 24, 1958 in Houston, Texas, and was educated in the public school system of the city.
He is married, and has three children.
As a young man, Brother Underwood was a member of the Order of DeMolay, having received the degrees from Reagan Chapter, for which he later served as Master Councilor in the summer 1976. He is currently a member of the advisory board for Reagan Chapter. Because of his devoted service to the Order of DeMolay, he was invested with the Degree of Chevalier in 1982, and was invested as a member of the Legion of Honor.
Brother Underwood received the degrees of Freemasonry from Jacques DeMolay Lodge No. 1390 in Houston, Texas. He was initiated as an Entered Apprentice Mason on June 18, 1981; passed to the degree of Fellowcraft on June 11, 1983; and raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on July 19, 1983. He served as Worshipful Master of the Lodge from 1991 to 1992.
Brother Underwood is a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, having received the degrees from the Houston bodies in March 1985.
