JACK K. DILLARD (w∴m∴ 1983-1984)
Jack Kelly Dillard was born on April 19, 1948 in Austin, Texas. He was educated in the public school system of that city, graduating from McCallum High School in 1966. He then attended Baylor University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1972, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1973. He is currently employed with the Philip Morris Management Corporation in Austin, as the Regional Director of Government Affairs.
He is single.
As a young man, Brother Dillard was a member of the Order of DeMolay, having received the degrees from Stephen F. Austin Chapter. He served as Master Councilor of that Chapter in 1965, as Illustrious Knight Commander of Stephen F. Austin Priory, Order of Knighthood, in 1966, and was the State Master Councilor of the Texas DeMolay Association from 1967 to 1968. He is a former member of the Advisory Council of Reagan Chapter and of Houston Priory. Because of his devoted service to the Order of DeMolay, he was invested with the Degree of Chevalier, awarded the Cross of Honor in 1978, and invested as a member of the Legion of Honor in 1979.
Brother Dillard received the degrees of Freemasonry from Baylor Lodge No. 1235 in Waco, Texas. He was initiated as an Entered Apprentice Mason on November 11, 1971; passed to the degree of Fellowcraft on November 21, 1972; and raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on December 19, 1972. He affiliated with Jacques DeMolay Lodge in November 1978, and served as Worshipful Master from 1983 to 1984.
Brother Dillard is a member of the Chapter, Council and Commandery of the York Rite, as well as the Shrine and the Grotto.
Brother Dillard is a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, having received the degrees from the Houston bodies in May 1975. He is currently a dual member of the Austin Scottish Rite bodies. In 1989, he served as Master of Kadosh for Houston Consistory. For his service and devotion to the Rite, he was invested with the rank and decoration of a Knight Commander of the Court of Honour in 1983.
